Now 3d print with up to 8 colors with PITTA!

※Current PITTA applicable models – Ender3 V2 Stock Model, Ender3 Pro 8bit/32bit Stock Model.

PITTA will take your 3D Printer to a new world.

PITTA is a device that can print 8 colors by attaching to a general FDM 3D Printer.

PITTA uses slide selection technology to supply various color materials in a single nozzle FDM 3D Printer. It is a simple structure with 2 motors which for material selection and supply.

PITTA can be connected to your FDM 3D Printers with ease.

The slider of PITTA has a simple structure, so it can work stably for a long time without trouble.

Easy to equip, easy to use.

Add colors to the world of 3D Printing.

8 Color 3D Printing

The PITTA multi-color module upgrades open-source-based FDM 3D Printers to Color 3D Printers.

Enhanced Bowden tube connectivity.

The PITTA tube connection provides an easy and effective Bowden tube configuration compared to traditional Bowden tube connection configurations.

PITTA uses TUBE GRIP for Bowden tube and it prevents the tube from moving.

This increases the extruding performance, prevents nozzle clogging, and reduces tube damage.

This also improves color separation performance.

2 Motor Extruding

The PITTA includes motors that perform a material selection and material supply function. In addition to the Extruder motor attached to the existing 3D Printer, the material supply motor of PITTA enables increased Extruding performance. This enables more stable extruding.

The additional benefit for single material 3D Printing

2 motor extruding and improved tube grip also improves the performance of single nozzle 3D Printing.

After removing the existing tube and extruder harness, install PITTA extruder combiner module with dectect-switch and tube.

① Replace Extruder Motor bracket with PITTA multi combiner module and detect-switch. → ② Upgrade the PTFE tube with PITTA PTFE tube and tube grip connector.  → ③ Connect the command cable to the extended cable of LCD flat cable. → Upgrade your 3D Printer firmware with PITTA supported version.

Applicable model

Open source: 3D Printer source is open source that is based on Marlin, but for the PITTA device, we will supply firmware binary(already installed and can be upgraded through USB port), it will work independently only with necessary communication with the 3D Printer.

Ender3 V2 Stock Model, Ender3 Pro 8bit/32bit Stock Model.

For Ender3 V2 Stock Model, there are two ways of SW upgrade.  1. Just copy firmware to your SD card and reboot the 3D printer.  2. Get the modified Marlin source with PITTA source from Github site, compile and copy it to your SD card then reboot the 3D printer.

For Ender3 pro 32bit, PITTA supports Creality V4.2.2 and V4.2.7 mainboards.

For Ender 3 pro 8bit model, if DFU (device firmware update) is not installed on your 3D Printer or if you do not know how to upgrade the software through it, you may not install the provided software, so please do not participate in this funding.

Also, Ender 3 pro 8bit model has a very small size of memory, so if PITTA is installed, there will be no room for other features such as bed leveling, etc. If you have Ender 3 pro 8bit, you need to be aware of this precisely.

Other models are not supported in this campaign, so please be careful not to participate.

Applicable materials

Multicolor printing – PLA

Single material printing – Most materials available depending on the performance of the printer body(PLA, ABS, Flexible, etc.)

※ After the campaign, various models, vendors, and printing mechanisms (Delta, Core XY, etc.) will be supported. PITTA is easy to tune for various size and style but need time to tune and need an additional specific program for specific 3D Printer.  And also multi-material (such as flexible, PVA, etc.) support is under development.  This is not guaranteed for this campaign but We will try for future upgrades.

Related information will be updated through the PITTA blog.
