Footwear brand United Nude, directed by architect Rem D Koolhaas, and Model Shaun Ross designed a heeled boot with “no particular individual in mind,” Ross is known for gender-fluid fashion, and the plan is to create a shoe that breaks the stereotype that heels are just for women. The Shaun Ross x United Nude high heeled boot for men and women will meld a new generation of style in celebration of diversity. The shoes are crafted with either black or white napa leather and come with heights that either rest at the ankle or a higher shaft that reaches the upper calf. A square toe fronts the design while a 3.25-inch geometric block heel lifts the shoe to give it height. There is also a loop attached to the shoe’s rear and a zipper concealed on the side.
The Shaun Ross x United Nude boot was unveiled during New York Fashion week and are available in men’s and women’s’ sizes retailing for $485 to $565. United Nude was established in 2003 by Rem D Koolhaas and shoemaker Galahad Clark. Their other projects include sandals with a fragmented platform heel and a series of 3D printed shoes created by Zaha Hadid, Ben van Berkel, and Michael Young. In the past we have written about their shoes such as the CubePro shoes, Ice shoes, and Float shoes, which are all 3D printed. It’s amazing to see what United Nude creates and I hope they make more 3D printed shoes.
