After years of use, my Korkers wading boot's felt soles were worn thin and starting to peel away from their removable base. I decided to 3-D print my own sole design and glue it to the original removable base. I used E-6000 waterproof glue, however, one sole came off in sticky mud and was lost. I printed a replacement and drilled many hole in it, I then used 3M's Marine Adhesive 5200 to attach this one. The holes provide a mechanical attachment in addition to the adhesive. Both replacement soles, and their respective glue, are holding so far. The holes, along with a small countersink, are included in the new design.
The files and designs shown are for a USA size 10 boot. I do not know if merely scaling the file will work for it to fit other size boots. The size 10 barely fits on the Prusa MK3.
The flexible filament material I used works fine in sand, gravel and mud, but is not as good as felt on rocks. Always be careful when wading.
