The Nautical Riser is an Industrial Shoe for the Industrial 3D Printing Enthusiast. Inspired by the rusting relics of 20th Century architecture, the shoe is designed to produce a look that speaks to its functionality and sturdiness.
The shoe does not incorporate traditionally feminine features, providing a more androgynous look commonly associated with brands such as Crocks and Birkenstocks. As it is a heeled shoe, however, the base model has been sized to a women's 10 (25.9 cm from toe to heel). When sizing to your own foot, be sure to use US measurements and provide the transformation equally between all three parts.
The top is designed to be printed out of TPU, but is only slightly less comfortable in PLA.
While my test prints didn't require epoxy, it is recommended that any plastic-compatible adhesive be applied. This includes brands such as Gorilla Glue and Crazy Glue. It is possible you may need to reapply the seal after extended usage in the event that the printed part outlasts the bonding agent.
