Many people are starting to learn that the future of shoe design is in the technology. Recently a fashion designer, Seth Aaron, who is known for appearing on Project Runaway, was interviewed. He talked about one thing he has in store for FashioNXT, which are 3D printed shoes. The designer is not only creating 3D printed footwear but also the shoes will be the world’s first runaway collection of 3D printed shoes. He plans to debut his new fashion line at FashioNXT, which will take place in Portland from October 11th to 14th. Seth Aaron is partnering up with Feetz Shoes from San Diego. If you log on to 3DShoes.com you can see some of the products created by Feetz.
Feetz is the state of the art most advanced 3D company that is around. With Feetz, anything that Seth can think of, and sketch, the company can produce. He plans to create runway appropriate shoes, but also a user-friendly version. The shoes will be 100% sustainable, and each pair will be printed in San Diego, made from recycled tire rubber. He delivers them a sketch, they put it into a 3D program, and after which is it converted and printed. The shoes will have no zippers, no laces and made of 3D printed fabric. Seth has been fascinated with shoes since he was a kid, and he believes 3D printing is the future of shoe design. Concept to delivery for sale for shoes can take 18 months. However, with 3D printing that can only take a couple weeks. The 3D printed shoes are going to be created to complement Aaron’s 2018 Spring-Summer collection.
