A revolutionary new carbon fiber suspension shoe for athletic footwear that reduces existing pains and improves performance for wearers

Hann Shoes is the world’s first full-suspension shoe made with carbon fiber ellipses that store and return energy to its wearers. Designed with the biomechanics of our anatomy in mind, Hann Shoes helps to relieve fatigue, decrease existing pain, and increases your performance whether you are standing all day, walking to work or out for a run.

Our Mission

We exist to empower everyone to live their best life through the world’s leading fatigue & injury reduction footwear design & technology. Being active is so important for our mental and physical wellbeing, but sometimes we have aches and pains that deter us. At Hann Shoes, we designed a shoe to help everyone be active so we all can achieve the impossible and begin each day in a better place.

Feel Less Muscle Fatigue and Pain – Our suspensions are adaptive to each individual and provide consistent support throughout the day

Greater Comfort While Walking – Our suspensions don’t just cushion your step, it provides you with a small boost to help make walking more enjoyable

 Technology

Carbon Fiber Suspensions – The ellipses compress and expand with the movement of the wearer and are constantly working to help relieve the wearer’s muscle tension. Whether you’re just standing or if you’re running, the ellipses are constantly working to provide you support

Foam For Comfort – Our foam is not used to absorb the shock of a landing. Instead, it’s designed to create a smooth and comfortable experience while you’re floating on the carbon fiber suspensions

Forefront Hinge – The ellipses act as cells that store energy upon compression and the hinge allows the cell to return energy to the wearer upon take off

Wide Toe Box – Hann Shoes are designed to fit the shape of our anatomical feet. We’ve carefully crafted our shoes with an anatomical last to ensure the best fit for the wearer.

DOUBLE the lifespan of other Shoes – Hann Shoes’ carbon composite suspensions help our shoes last longer than traditional athletic shoes.

Usage

Hann Shoes isn’t just for runners. It was designed to help everyone be active. Hann Shoes relieves fatigue for those who stand all day, helps make walking easier, and increases running performance.

Hann Shoes are great for many environments where people stand, walk or run! Here are some examples of people who can benefit from our shoes:

 Story

Lenn Hann, inventor of the Hann Full Suspension Shoes, is an engineer by trade and also an avid adventure sports enthusiast. Lenn started running in college and completed his first marathon in 1995. After a new pair of shoes gave him a tendon injury, Lenn realized that running shoes designs needed to be reimagined.

Late one night in August 1997, Lenn was strolling through O’Hare International Airport and came upon a moving rubber walkway. Curious about the walkways as a running surface, Lenn placed his bags down, removed his sneakers, and proceeded to run barefoot on the walkway. To his surprise, the resilient surface felt amazing. He felt less pain and fatigue and ended up running for two hours and did a half marathon on the walkways!

This was the catalyst that inspired the Hann Shoes design. After decades of testing, Lenn was finally able to replicate the feeling he had [from the walkway surface] to be accessible inside a pair of shoes. The technology behind these shoes were designed to bring forth the pain and fatigue relief benefits to everyone and not just the running community.

Now, it’s our mission to empower everyone to live their best lives. If we can make the experience of getting out, walking around the block, or jogging a little bit more enjoyable, imagine what it could do for everyone’s health! And, that’s what Hann Shoes is all about.

Sizing

Our shoes fit true-to-size. We use an anatomic foot last and strive to have our sizing match that of a standard Brannock device as closely as possible.

You do not need to know your size when submitting a pledge. After we are funded, we will send out a survey to everyone to receive your shoe size and we will work with you to help you find the right sizing.

Colors and Design

Colors and designs may change based on feedback from our supporters, market trends, and improvements to the Hann suspension technology.
