Superfeet's Custom 3D Insoles

The insole manufacturer Superfeet is joining the world of 3D printed shoes by introducing its new ME3d products. Their insoles are personalized and manufactured for consumers using 3D scanning and Jet Fusion 3D printing technology. Superfeet established itself as a company in the shoe industry and have enabled their customers to walk more comfortably with their products. Its ME3D insoles were the first time that the company marketed customized shoe inserts using 3D technology.

Using a high definition 3D scanning and biomechanics pressure analysis system, Superfeet are able to not only capture its clients’ foot shape and structure but also analyzing how they walk and move. This 3D scanning technology enables Superfeet to design a customized insole that the consumer can wear throughout the day. This kind of technology can really help with 3D printed shoes that are made in the future.

The insoles are fabricated using HP’s Multi Jet Fusion 3D printing technology, which boasts printing speeds up to ten times faster than other FDM and SLS that are on the market. For customers to get their hand on the insoles, they have to have their feet 3D scanned in select stores. Once their feet are analyzed Superfeet can design and 3D print the customized insoles, which are then shipped to their home. These are all exciting ideas for the future of the 3D printed shoe industry and 3DShoes.com as well.
